Neighbors told Fox13 the kids were homeschooled and well-known in the neighborhood, as they were often seen playing and swimming by their lakeside home.
Sounds like the kids were living in a safe environment and no visible troubles in the home ?
In some cases of homeschoolers, the child (or children) aren't seen for a while by anyone -- and may be mistreated -- but in this case the family was seen out and about and the neighbors seemed to think they were well-adjusted.
Mental health issues ?
Or just an injustice collector and a plain evil minor.
Ugh.

The young girl who survived the shooting reportedly called 911 from inside a bathroom.

Sorry for the surviving kid, she has a long road ahead of her !
I hope there's enough extended family there for her.
Omo.

I'll never understand what causes a teenaged kid to attempt to wipe out his entire family.
The poor surviving sibling is going to need all the support and prayers she can get. :(

The teen arrested in connection to the five people found dead early Monday morning inside a Fall City house will appear before a judge Tuesday, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office (KCPAO).

The hearing is part of an ongoing homicide investigation and will be held at 1:30 p.m. at theClark Child and Family Justice Center in Seattle.

I am local. It is an ideal place to grow up. Only time will tell what happened inside that home. Praying for the surviving sister. There is a local call out to foster the pets.
Multiple teenagers in a family being homeschooled isn't a good sign to me. Wasn't there a similar story from Oklahoma a few years ago?

The surviving daughter is probably not old enough, or in a suitable mental state, to care for the animals.

I’m unfamiliar with anything similar in Oklahoma. Of course I’m not suggesting this child should be responsible for the care of the family pets. It’s hard not “what would I do” a situation. In that instance, I couldn’t imagine my granddaughter being in this scenario and even considering leaving her pets behind especially after all that loss. Again, that’s strictly a me-thing. I am not in any way judging the decisions being made for this girl. I’m sure her family is doing the best they can in the circumstance.

I was told 2 dogs, 2 cats, chickens and rabbits. Why they would not keep the pets with the surviving daughter is beyond me, but it’s not my place to judge.

Extended family may not have the resources of desire to care for all those pets. If the surviving daughter has to enter foster care, pets are definitely not allowed. There are a number of reasons the pets need to be placed, unfortunately.

A neighbor told KING-TV that a couple and their five children lived in the home.

“I’m just in total shock, I keep bursting into tears,” Lynne Trowern, told the news outlet.

An emailed statement Monday evening from King County Councilmember Sarah Perry said the shooting involved a family of seven people.

Sheriff Patricia Cole-Tindall told KING-TV that she was “very sad, very disturbed” to learn about the shooting.
