WA 4 shot, one detained in Lake City shooting March 27 2019

Police say four people including a city bus driver have been shot in North Seattle and that one person has been detained, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The shooting happened in Lake City near 120th and Sand Point Way Northeast.

Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best told the Seattle Times that one of the four people shot was killed.

Seattle Police said multiple victims were shot in the Lake City neighborhood at several locations. It's unclear what led up to the shooting.

It’s alleged that the shooter first fired into a Toyota Prius and hit an elderly woman, before then firing into Metro bus route 75, hitting the driver. King County Metro confirmed that none of the 12 passengers were injured.

Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best told The Seattle Times that four total people were shot, with one fatality. The Times also reports that the driver was hit in the torso, but was able to walk to a gurney before being transported by paramedics to Harborview Medical Center.
