WA Big Brothers bans overnights, investigates sexual abuse

The Puget Sound chapter of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization has sent out a letter to all mentors in the program, forbidding overnight visits with their "brothers" and "sisters," effective immediately.

DUH.

I worked in a tutoring program for high risk middle school kids. There were several 'big brothers' that began to come and volunteer with our program. They began by helping them with their math and reading. That was fine. But I watched over time as two of the volunteers began to get a little too friendly, imo. And soon they wanted to set up weekend 'events' through the school.

NOT!!!!!!!!
We ended up telling them their services were no longer needed. But I got a real bad feeling about two of them. Wanting to meet the mothers and come visit at their homes.
