There is not much info on Brenda´s murder on the web. Basically, 14-year-old Brenda Joy Baker lived in Maple Valley, Washington. On May 25, 1974, friends said they saw her near Puyallup, Washington, hitchhiking. That was the last time she was seen alive. She was wearing a brown corduroy jacket, red bell bottom pants and a red blouse . In one source I found that thw friends said that she told them that she was going to Fort Lewis where she "planned to meet a soldier".
Her decomposed body was found June 17, 1974 near Millersylvania State Park, Thurston County, Washington.
There has been an effort to tie her murder to Ted Bundy, but he never confessed this killing, not even before his executon on January 1989. Also, she was tied to Kathy Devine´s murder from november 1973 but this girl could be linked through DNA to William Cosden Jr.
Brenda Joy Baker´s case is treated as a Cold Case.
