I don't know if this means this person has been identified or just that genetic genealogy research is ongoing and has found related people (a brother is very different than an 8th cousin, but they are both still "familial matches").

I guess it had been resolved by then.

Othram's in-house forensic genetic genealogy team used the profile in a genetic genealogy search to develop new investigative leads that were returned to law enforcement.

Using this new information, a follow-up investigation was conducted leading investigators to potential relatives of the man. Reference DNA samples were collected from a relative and compared to the DNA profile of the unidentified man. This investigation led to the positive identification of the man, whose family has been notified. The man's name will not be released."

I know the Skagit Co. Me/C has a case lookup but I can't find it and don't remember how far back it goes.
