MISSING PERSON.
Last night at around 11:45 PM Derek Jones was reported missing. He left his home in the 1400 block of Newport Crt. SE. at around 7 PM to go for a walk. This is normal behavior for him. However his failure to return is not usual. Derek is a high functioning autistic male who was last seen wearing unknown color polo and gray slacks. He is approximately 30 years old and is 5'6" and about 140 pounds.
Derek likes to explore the trails that run south of the Cedar River. Renton Officers checked several trail heads near Royal Hills, Phillip Arnold, Tiffany Park, Renton Park Elementary, and the Cedar River Dog Park, and family is worried he may have fallen. If you see Derek please call 911 and reference Renton Police case #20-5574.
