A Silver Alert has been activated for 77-year-old Evelyn Smith of Anacortes. Evelyn’s last known sighting in Anacortes was on June 23, 2024, at around 5:00 PM on her patio. Evelyn attempted to enter Canada at the Peace Arch border crossing in Blaine, Washington on June 24, 2024 at 4:15 PM in her vehicle but was unsuccessful. Evelyn is without her cell phone or medications and may be unable to return home without assistance. She is associated with a blue 2008 Saturn Aura with Washington license plate AHW9250.

A Washington woman reported missing last summer was found dead inside a crashed car in Oregon, according to Oregon State Police.

Evelyn Krystl Smith, 77 at the time of her disappearance, was reported missing out of Anacortes in June 2024.

On Feb. 27, the Oregon State Police reported that Evelyn's car was found down an embankment on Highway 30, near milepost 58.5, in Columbia County. Evelyn was deceased inside the vehicle.

Had she been in the embankment in Oregon for the entire year she was missing?

And she couldn’t get in to Canada so she turned around and drove to Oregon?

Poor woman. I hope she’s at peace.
