On June 13, 2014, Jaidyn Baker-Dizon was picked up from daycare in Tacoma, Washington by her mother, Shaina Baker. Jaidyn was not legally in her mother's care at this time.

Shortly after, Shaina called her mother and expressed fear for Jaidyn's safety due to an incident between Jaidyn and her little brother. Shaina stated she was afraid that her boyfriend, Edwin "Referee" Davis, might cause the child harm. She began making arrangements for Jaidyn to stay with her grandmother but the phone call was abruptly ended and neither Jaidyn nor Shaina were heard from for two years.

Shaina re-established contact with her family in 2016 but no one had seen Jaidyn. When family continued to question Jaidyn's whereabouts, Shaina again cut off contact.

The last sighting of Shaina was from a viral TikTok video in December of 2024 of herself and her 5 younger children outside a shelter in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jaidyn, who by this time would have been 15 years old, was absent from the video. Family investigated shelters in the Las Vegas area but could find no information related to Jaidyn. When a welfare check was conducted on Shaina's home, she reported that Jaidyn was staying with friends in Washington and only gave the vaguest of details. She later told authorities that Jaidyn was taken to Canada by a family friend but this could not be verified.

(Below is the information from the Justice for Native People site which is different/additional to the Doe Network listing)

Jaidyn's mother, Shaina Baker, mentioned a "road trip" to California.

In 2016 when Shaina re-established contact with family she refused to provide proof of life regarding Jaidyn, gave vague answers and at one point stated she was living with someone in Washington State.

Jaidyn's father and extended family have not given up the search for her. When speaking with Shaina's acquaintances some of them had vague information about the child while others claimed to have never heard of her. She could not be officially listed as a missing person because her parent has to make the report and acknowledge the disappearance. Jaidyn remains missing.
