The man’s wallet, phone and medication was found inside the vehicle, according to friends and family.
Police located the car of a missing Puyallup man at a trailhead in Federal Way on Wednesday afternoon.
James Yielding, age 50, has been missing since Monday afternoon, according to a Facebook post that the man’s friends and family have publicly shared with online local community groups. According to the post, Yielding is a Boeing employee who “wouldn’t miss work or contact with his wife. He lives in Puyallup but might be in the Tukwila area.”
The man’s vehicle was located at about noon at the BPA trailhead in the 1800 block of SW 356th St. in Federal Way, according to Federal Way police Commander Kurt Schwan.
According to the Facebook post, the vehicle had Yielding’s wallet, phone and medication inside. The window was also smashed out, the post continues.
The Tukwila Police Department organized a search for the missing man, which Federal Way police assisted with, Schwan said. However, Yielding was not located during the search.
The Tukwila Police Department could not be reached for immediate comment.
The Facebook post described Yielding as about 5 feet 9 inches, approximately 220 pounds, with dark brown hair and brown eyes.
