Missing woman found dead after 8 months

The 65-year-old woman was reported missing in the North Bend area in September 2024.

A woman who went missing in September has been found dead, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Joanne Lee Buck, 65, was identified by the medical examiner’s officer on Tuesday, May 6.

While medical examiners have not yet determined how she died, the office recorded that her death occurred on Sept. 4, 2024 – the day before she was reported missing.

The King County Sheriff's Office has not yet provided any details about where or when Buck was found.
