This article says 10 months.

Snip from article:
"Officers searching for a 10-month-old boy say they've found the body of an infant in a wooded area and opened a homicide case.
The Whatcom County Sheriff's Office said Sunday it is awaiting positive identification of the body, and the father of Jon "Cecil" Anthony Frazier is in custody."

Another baby stolen from our world and possibly by the hands of someone who was supposed to love him. It's heartbreaking.

I am just sick about the body that was found... we all know it is probably him they found... just not right !!

So the Mom went to jail on unrelated charges and the Dad killed him? Wow if he could not handle the responsibility of caring for him why not let his mother do it?

It sounds like these people are getting too many ideas from the unsolved missing kids cases ie Haleigh ( Door wide open )

Anyway there is just too much of this going on to these precious little ones...

The list of missing children keeps getting bigger everyday in our forums and the sad part is...my memories of Caylee keep growing dimmer. That's what brought me here in the first place. Another little one left in the woods..Cold..Alone..Rest in Peace baby Jon..

The baby's father, Jonathan V. Frazier, 42, is being detained by the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office as a suspect, Whatcom County Sheriff Bill Elfo said during a press conference on the investigation late Sunday afternoon. He has not been formally charged, and there are currently no other suspects. The investigation is being treated as a homicide, Elfo said.

Prosecutors: Dad shook baby by leg, snapped bone

Prosecutors say nothing adds up in the case of the 2-month-old boy who was found dead in a field two days after he was first reported missing.

Results of John "Cecil" Anthony Frazier's preliminary autopsy released on Monday showed a broken femur - the strongest bone in a baby's body, according to experts - and multiple skull fractures.

Prosecutors believe Cecil hit his head when he was swung around by his leg. They suspect the boy's father, John Frazier, who has been charged with second-degree murder and felony assault charges.

Prosecutor: Custer infant's injuries do not match father's story

A prosecutor said a Custer man's accounts of his infant son's death did not match what an autopsy found.

[snip]

Frazier, 42, had first claimed his 2-month-old son, Jon "Cecil" Anthony Frazier, was missing from their trailer in the 1100 block of Willey's Lake Road when he awoke Friday. By Sunday, Frazier had changed his story, saying he woke up to find the boy underneath him, suffocated by his body, according to Setter of the Whatcom County Prosecutor's Office.

However, an autopsy found a broken left femur and massive blunt trauma to the back of the head.

[snip]

Setter said Frazier attempted to explain the injuries by saying that in his rush out of the trailer to take the boy to the hospital, he tripped over a table and hit the boy's head. Frazier also told authorities that after he got lost on the way to the hospital, he instead left the boy's body in a field by the home of his wife's ex-boyfriend, whom he hoped would be blamed.

what a sickening case. The mother was sent to jail on other charges and the father
obviously was not mature or capable of taking care of a baby. There should have been
major warning signs, someone should have seen something. When the mother was sent to jail why didn't someone step up for the baby?
The problem is that these caliber people are reproducing, if she hadn't been breaking the law her baby would be alive. In her mind I hope her crime was worth the life of her baby.
I want this to stop, it seems to be picking up speed. JMO

"Dad" has been charged with murder. Oh and he even has a reason for doing it. What a good guy. :furious:

Whatcom County man charged with murdering infant son

A Whatcom County man allegedly killed his infant son because he felt "frustrated and overwhelmed" after his wife didn't finish day care arrangements for the child before reporting to the Whatcom County Jail on Thursday, Aug. 27.

Jonathan V. Frazier, 42, was charged with second-degree murder Tuesday for allegedly causing the death of his 10-week-old son, Jon.

[snip]

Frazier told Whatcom County Sheriff's detectives he swung the child into a door, a wall and a bed frame, according to charging documents filed in Whatcom County Superior Court.

Chief Criminal Deputy Prosecutor Mac Setter said Frazier's statement of feeling frustrated and overwhelmed was the only explanation he's offered for allegedly killing his son.

[snip]

Setter said he opted to charge Frazier with second-degree murder because he couldn't establish that Frazier had planned to kill the child, an element of first-degree murder.

Ahhh... maybe the second he DECIDED TO SWING THE 2 MONTH OLD AGAINST THE BED was when he planned to kill the child. or maybe the second he decided to swing him against the wall, or maybe the second he decided to swing him against the bed frame.

Absolutely sickening!!

This guy will probably get less time for killing his son than the mom is spending in jail.

This really pi$$es me off. This guy deserves 1st degree. The mom didn't take care of child care arrangements so he takes it out on a defenseless baby by swinging him against objects and hiding his body????

This is disgusting - what a sicko - it was all about him obviously.

  • #57
This is maddening! I sit here and wish that someone would bash this man's head against a door frame, a brick wall and anything else a head can be bashed against. Why can't people who obviously don't want their babies GIVE THEM UP BEFORE THEY KILL THEM????

:furious:

Father pleads not guilty in baby's death

A man accused in the brutal death of his infant son pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder charges Friday morning.

The accused father, John Vincent Frazier, showed very little emotion at the hearing in Whatcom County Superior Court as he heard the charge and entered his plea.

But outside the courthouse, it was a completely different story - emotions were running high as citizens remembered the young life at the center of the court case.

Thanks for the update I4G - I think about baby Jon a lot. A not guilty plea is not sitting very well with my head on this night - I hope the book and everything in it is thrown at this sicko - baby Jon never stood a chance.
