Teen suspected of stealing car now listed as missing
(Nov. 7, 2007)

A teenager who jumped into the Green River to get away from police after allegedly stealing a car is now listed as a missing juvenile.

Joseph Frazier, 17, has not been seen since the afternoon of Oct. 24.

Tukwila Police officers originally thought the boy drowned after divers failed to find him.

Police say Frazier has not contacted family or friends.

Teen missing after jumping into river during chase

A local teenager's plan to escape from police might have cost him his life.

Officers spotted the suspected car thief as he plunged into the Green River on Wednesday, but they never saw him come back up. Divers scanned the river but could not find him.

Police say an officer tried to pull the teen over, but the teen and his two passengers refused to give up.
