This is tragic to hear! I run along that river often and in that area where he was found. I feel terrible for his family. I hope they get answers.

Well, tragic yes. But out of that now, when you do, maybe you won't mind letting Joseph know there are many people that you are aware of, strangers even, that will be wondering about him.

You are not stuck in the sadness of the tragedy alone.
Even as you run Elana!!!

I literally gasped when I read that his body was found so I can't imagine how his family felt. Of course it was one of the many likely outcomes, but it still caught me off guard. I will try to patiently wait for the outcome of the autopsy.

Joe was 20, an age when schizophrenia can raise its ugly head. Of course this may not have any relevance to this case but it is one possibility. Depression is also quite common among uni students. But I'm not sure that would account for the broken/bloody window. And, finally, it could have been foul play. I hope his family gets answers soon. They must be SO devastated!

ETA: I noticed that the weight description for Joe was quite wide. People with depression can have significant weight swings. My son went off to uni and immediately put on a lot of weight and became depressed. He has gained/lost weight many times since.

Very sad. It's tuff to know what to say. A very handsome and happy-looking young man in the pic that was shown. So, so sad for his family. Hoping LE and others can ascertain what happened soon. :-(
