Looks like Othram has this case. Confident that successful results in her identification will be coming soon.

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. – Pierce County investigators hope someone has details about a woman found dead near Lake Bonney in 2019, a case that resurfaces as new tests on her remains This is pending results. A forensic anthropologist identifies human remains as belonging to a woman. They identified it as a likely woman between the ages of 24 and 44, 5 foot-1 to 5 foot-7 tall. It is believed that she has a set of false teeth and the anthropologist says that is unusual for a person of that age.

"When the excavator operator was looking at it he noticed that there appeared to be a blanket, the shape of the blanket and with some duct tape on it caught his eye and he got a sinking feeling in his stomach... Detectives suspect she was murdered as they found her remains bound in duct tape."

''PCSD officials said they are investigating this as a homicide due to the nature of how the remains were wrapped in a blanket in duct tape.

While PCSD detectives await the results of DNA evidence, they are asking the public to take a look at the rings the victim was wearing.''

Reba Stewart DLC was August 15, 1982. She was 46 at the time and had dentures. Reba was reported missing by her sister in 1988 after she had not been in contact since 1982. Reba’s husband felt that she had left him and moved to Canada (Uh huh)

Reba is listed as American Indian/Native American and not white so uncertain is she would be considered. Interestingly, she is missing from Federal Way WA which is only a half hour drive to Lake Tapps.

If there is a PMI listed, I missed it. Does anyone have the PMI?

The link to this article looks like it's broken but I found a link that I think is the same article here: Pierce County sheriff awaits genetic genealogy test results for more details on woman's remains found in 2019

This says: "As of Sept. 6 [2023], the department is waiting on results of genetic genealogy – hoping her DNA will connect her to family members who submitted their own data to public database."

No mention of @othram though. I don't think Othram has this case since it's not on their page for WA cases: DNASolves® Washington Map

Have we heard if any other genetic genealogy organization is working on this case?

You’re right. I saw the post above from Othram but it is for a different case. Thank you for the link.

From what I've seen, there are some Othram cases that they keep on the down low (not on the website) until the case is solved. It looks like it's more the public funding cases that are put on the website once Othram takes them on, because those cases need donations. Could just be that it's a different genetic genealogy company though, there are a few around.
