Martinez was last seen leaving through the back door of the Pied Piper Pub in the 300 block of West Meeker Street in downtown Kent, Washington at 1:30 p.m. on June 8, 2022. He didn't have a cellular phone or vehicle with him when he disappeared. He has never been heard from again. Few details are available in his case.

This is sad. I hope Mr. Martinez will be found alive and safe soon. He has one exclusion.

The outer pullover he was last seen wearing appears to be a half zip pullover sweatshirt rather than a sweater.

Hard to tell in the photo but looks like he could have been wearing his hearing aids.

Skeletal remains discovered near SR 167 last week have been identified as those of Larry Martinez, an 81-year-old Kent man who had been missing since June 2022, Kent Police said Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025.

On Aug. 18, 2025, Kent officers and Washington State Patrol responded after remains were found north of the James Street overpass along SR 167. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identity as Martinez and determined that foul play was not suspected.
