It's interesting that his mother reported him missing five days later... Why did it take so long? Perhaps he had a history of wandering off for days at a time and/or they expected him to return? Or perhaps it was a sign of the times, when several police jurisdictions didn't allow immediate filing of a missing person report... The report says he was staying with a friend... He was 18... not a toddler, so it wouldn't be surprising if he wasn't in constant contact with his parents... And finally... I think if a loved one went missing, I'd first seek out a trusted private investigator... It seems like calling the police first is a waste of time... Regardless of the evidence, they seem to label every disappearance as a runaway...
Whatever the case,
Rest in peace.
