<<Mike hasn't accessed any of his accounts since June 30, 1995.>>

According to this Missing Person Directory, Mike was "last seen alive on July 17, 1995 at 15:38," an oddly specific time, which makes me wonder if it comes from timestamped CCTV footage, or maybe a receipt of something he paid for (in cash? see below).

Also, he "was visiting Seattle from Wisconsin." This is a strange detail to me when paired with the claim that "Mike hasn't accessed any of his accounts since June 30, 1995." In this era, "accounts" did not mean social media or even e-mail, so I'm assuming it's his bank or credit/debit card account(s). So was he just paying for everything in cash in Seattle? I suppose. But how long had he been in Seattle? The longer the visit, the more cash he might need. Any significant cash withdrawals prior to his visit?

Lastly, the article ends by saying he "decided to go camping, unclear if that is where he went"—which kinda leaves it open that maybe Mike just gave camping as an excuse for something else.
