[h=3]Details of Disappearance[/h] Robert disappeared together with his wife, Dagmar Linton, from Brinnon, Washington on August 22, 1986. Both of them were retired from county jobs in Stockton, California. They were on their way to an expo in Vancouver, British Columbia at the time of their disappearances.

They stopped at the Naco West Campground in Brinnon on the Hood Canal, unhooked their travel trailer, and drove off in their truck for a day trip to Mount Baker, Washington. They never returned and have not been seen since.

The couple's pickup truck, a gray and white 1982 Dodge Ram 1500 with the license plate number 2D14431, was later found abandoned in a parking lot at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport the same day the Lintons disappeared. A photo of the truck is posted with this case summary. Blood and hair were found inside the vehicle.

Police believe the Lintons were killed by Charles Thurman Sinclair, who robbed and killed approximately thirteen people, mostly coin dealers. Sinclair's handwriting matched the signature on receipts of items purchased with Robert and Dagmar's credit cards after their disappearances, and some of the purchases were recovered in his storage shed.

Sinclair was never charged in connection with the Lintons' cases. He was arrested on unrelated charges in Alaska in August 1990, but he died in October of that year before he could be tried.

Dagmar and Robert have never been located.

Circumstances of Disappearance

<<Robert is missing with his wife, Dagmar Linton and they were last seen on August 22, 1986, in Brinnon, Washington. They retired from county jobs in Stockton, California and disappeared en route to Vancouver's Expo. They disappeared while camping on the Olympic Peninsula. A large, bearded white male with a bandaged right hand was seen using the Lintons' credit cards to buy several items

They are believed killed by Charles T. Sinclair , a serial killer with something like 13 murders mostly of coin dealers. His signatures matched those used to by things with the victims' credit cards. Property recovered that was bought with the couple's stolen cards were found in Sinclair's storage shed.

The Lintons' truck was later found at the Seattle-Tacoma airport.>>

He killed them to buy a clarinet a slow cooker and underwear... It's very sad and pathetic... it seems that Sinclair was a combination of evil and mental health issues... I don't mean to say that it's a waste of time or money to find out his mindset because information like this could be useful when trying to investigate the next serial killer... it's just that it's impossible for ordinary people to understand what goes on in the head of a guy like Sinclair...
They nicknamed him the coin shop killer... his crimes were many...
I can imagine that he forced them to bend over and shot them in the head then they were dumped in some nearby body of water.. although a shallow grave and the forest animals would do the rest...
whatever it is
may you both rest in peace
