The body was found off the shoreline of the river east of Harvard Rd., near the Liberty Lake area. Someone was passing by when they found the body and reported it.

Detectives from the Spokane County Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit are investigating, but have not been able to identify the body. They say it's of a white female with dark hair. She was wearing the clothing pictured above.

Detectives ask for help identifying woman found in river

I'm working on her reconstruction right now.

That's great Carl! Is there any additional info you can share?
Such as: approx age range? How long had she been deceased?
Thanks.

Hm. I have a pair of hiking pants just like that. They're lightweight nylon and the legs zip off to convert to shorts. I can't see the tag clearly enough to make out the brand--all the major hiking clothing companies make a similar style (REI, EMS, Columbia, North Face, etc. etc. etc.)

The sandals are made for walking in or around water--the wrapped front protects your toes and the open cutaways let the water run out, plus they have a sturdy sole with good traction. It looks like the brand might be Keen. Something like this: https://www.swimoutlet.com/p/keen-womens-venice-h2-water-shoes-8127385/

You're right, Carbuff, about the Keens. I have that exact pair and they have lasted forever. PINK is a Victoria's Secret brand, correct? Combined with the pants, these seem to be relatively high-end items.

Yes, she is a white female in her 40's or 50's, with her dark hair possibly french braided. Her hair was about 14 inches long from roots to tips. She had been in the water for at least a few days.

The shirt looks like it could be prAna. I was looking at a very similar one last spring when I was in REI stocking up for this season's hiking and canoeing. Or maybe a year or two ago.

If it's one like the one I noticed, it has a built-in bra.

I have those same Keens, too.

Here is what I came up with. Due to the condition of her body when found, this might not be an exact likeness, but it is probably a pretty good approximation.

Brilliant as always Carl!

Her clothing is not low end, as others have stated. The sweatshirt is touristy, but the outdoorsy wear is typical for that area.

The underware speaks to a woman in a relationship, or of means. Outdoorsy to match her outfit, but “cute” underware that is pricey enough to be out of reach for some.

The look of the jewelry does align with a woman in the suggested age group. I’m surmising the chain is gold, not costume.

It will be interesting to find out if there are any signs of homicide, but my first thought is more accidental such as in kayaking or similar.

Again, the rendering is so compelling that if she is a local, she should be identified quickly.

Amateur speculation and opinion only.

Her teeth should make her memorable, too. I’m guessing accidental slip and fall/drowning while in a familiar place.

Excellent work, as usual Carl. Are her ears double pierced?

Even taking into account postmortem distortions, her nose is completely different.

Thank you, I thought the nose was off too. Erin also has a tattoo on her arm which may rule her out. I don't see any mention of tattoos on the UID. Was she in good enough condition that they could tell if she had tattoos or not? Did they recover all of her?

Yes, her skin was still completely intact.
