Coulson left Toronto, Ontario, Canada in June 1982, to return to Wells, British Columbia to get his belongings and get his life together. He was last seen in Kirkland, Washington on June 14. He has never been heard from again.
Coulson has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. He has been in several hospitals prior to his disappearance and tried to commit suicide twice.
Coulson has a history of living a transient lifestyle. In 1987 a friend of Coulson's brother, thought he spotted Coulson in Tofino, British Columbia, Canada but did not approach him. Rumors stated that Coulson may have met a Native American woman, and may be living on a reservation, but this has never been confirmed. Few details are available regarding Coulson's case and his whereabouts remain unknown. Kirkland police are investigating.
