The Yakima Police Department is asking for your help to locate a missing teen. 13-year old Wendy Ruiz Castaneda left home without parental permission on Wednesday.

Wendy was last seen wearing a Nike red sweater, grey Nike sweat pants, and black Nike tennis shoes.

Wendy is 5'4" tall, weighs 168 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes.
Wendy left the family home Wednesday evening and hasn't contacted anyone since then.

Oh, so familiar to us -- left at night, and hasn't been seen since...

Meeting someone she "met" online who offered her a great job and to be under his care... or it's a local boyfriend she went to meet and she may have been kidnapped by some unknown while she was on the way.... or with her bf and is scared to go back home...or just ran away because things at home were or seemed unbearable.

Hoping to hear that she is back home and all is good -- soon. A pretty young girl, full of promise -- we don't need to lose another one, and another family should not have to be in agony & fear for her...

According to a social media alert from the Yakima Police Department, Wendy left home without permission on January 19, 2021. She hasn’t contacted her family or been located by YPD officers since.
