Were the garage and vehicles searched? What caused the Ramseys to skip the last delivery of presents?

I believe so, I read somewhere that there were search warrants for the vehicles. The Ramsey's said it was getting late so they decided to skip the last stop and go home since they had to be up early next day for their flight.
