"The mystery continues surrounding the disappearance of a woman in Niagara Falls.

53 year old Wendy Fontaine was last seen on Friday, June 8th in the area of Lundy's Lane and Kalar Road.

Her son, Robert Fontaine, an Environmental Technician now living in Sarnia tells CKTB his mom has the greatest soul and would do anything for anyone.

He says it's not like her to leave and not tell anyone."
"Robert is thanking police for their incredible work however he's hoping police will be able to get into Wendy's cell phone records and Facebook messages.

He's hoping that something in the messages will help crack the case".

Missing Persons - MISSING FEMALE FROM NIAGARA FALLS AREA
"Detectives from the 2 District (Niagara Falls) Criminal Investigations Branch are attempting to locate Wendy Fontaine of Niagara Falls. She also goes by the name Wendy Fisher.

Fontaine was last seen on Friday June 8th 2018 at approximately 3:00am in the area of Lundy's Lane and Kalar Road in the City of Niagara Falls.

Fontaine is described as follows:
- Caucasian female
- 5'8", approximately 170lbs
- long brown hair, with a medium build

The NRPS and Fontaine's friends and family are concerned for her welfare. Anyone with information as to her whereabouts is asked to contact the NRPS at 905-688-4111 extension 9361."

By Thursday afternoon, investigators had completed their examination of the scene and the remains were transported to a forensic pathology unit at the Chief Coroner's Office in Toronto.

The deceased has now been positively identified as 53 year old Wendy Fontaine of Niagara Falls. Police investigators have been in touch with the family since Friday.

Medical experts will continue to work toward determining an exact cause of death. Based on the examination of the scene and the police investigation thus far, foul play is not suspected at this time; however the investigation is still ongoing.

Sad update, my heart goes out to Ms Fontaine's family.

My hinky meter is wiggling on this one. Thirteen minute drive or 1.5 hour walk from where she was last seen at 3:00 in the morning, to be found in a wooded area at Marineland:
