I’d say this was surely checked out, but considering they can’t find the case number, I doubt it.

Good find, IMO. How very tragic, sounds like a murder victim. Does anyone reading this want to consider submitting it just in case it's not yet under consideration for Wesley?

BTW, I couldn't find a WS thread for the unidentified man, so I started one.

I submitted this match to the DoeNetwork this morning and they said that he'd been ruled out by NAMUS.

Thanks Victoria!! I’m glad you got a response quickly. If he’s listed as an exclusion on NamUs, I can’t see it due to me locking myself out of my account :D. Too many passwords to remember.

And thank you Chattering for making the Doe a thread!

HI this is a family member of the Missing person. I am trying to submit family DNA to the case file in order match to the UP you found (we also think it is this person) we are having a hell of time adding DNA not sure why or how they told you they ruled it out. If you have a contact? Was it Amy?

Hello and welcome to Websleuths! I wish we could have met under different circumstances, but I’m glad you’re here.

I can’t speak to why they may have told anyone it’s been ruled out. I have a missing family member also though and getting DNA submitted can take some time. Not a lot. I imagine COVID could be holding things up a bit also. Then, depending on several variables, the comparison itself could take some time.

The waiting is tough, but I certainly hope this brings you and your family answers soon!

@JAMoore I'm so sorry your family has gone through this. I just want to let you know you are seen here and people care. Best of luck with this process. I hope it all comes together soon.

First of all, I'm sorry that you all have to go through circumstances like this. I have no idea how they ruled him out, but my contact was Mary Bell at TheDoeNetwork, who may be of more technical help.

How many of us have done the same, been in an argument, gone for a walk? It's the right thing to do sometimes, but he was vulnerable, something happened. :(

I hope his family will get answers.

Yeah, this is tough. I’ve been there. Something terrible could have happened or he may have left of his own accord. Hard to tell. :(
