I've only just joined Websleuths. My apologies if this isn't the right place to ask for advice but it seemed the best place as any. I decided to start with recent missing persons cases from my local area. I started browsing NAMUS and found a few from the past few months that are still unsolved. I searched their names on the Websleuths forums but found nothing... It felt especially sad because these cases have little info so far and I feel almost obligated to get the word out there to help raise awareness.
Since I'm new I browsed the FAQs and such but still was unsure so I wanted to ask before I just jump in: is it ok to just go to the Missing Persons forum and add a new thread with the person's name, details, and links to relevant sources (like NAMUS, news articles, etc)? I feel like I should only be posting if I have something new to contribute to the case but as of yet, I don't. Anyway, thanks in advance for any tips and advice.
