Polk County officials issue alert for missing rural Wisconsin man

Missing Motorist From Polk County Wisconsin | Recent News | DrydenWire.com

On Sunday, June 28th 2020 at 1836 hours the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a call of a missing motorist.

•40 yr old, male
•from the rural Amery WI area
•had not been seen nor heard from since around 1 am on the morning of June 28th 2020.
•Officials said Lyons is on his 2000 Honda CBR900 motorcycle, which is yellow. He was last seen wearing a white helmet.

To Note;
•Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office attempted to gain cell phone info to attempt to locate Andre Lyons.
•That info led the SO to contact surrounding counties requesting assistance in attempting to locate Andre Lyons, however, no further info, nor Lyons were discovered.
•During the course of this incident, the PCSO investigator assigned to this case found that Lyons had left a residence near the Polk / St Croix County line and was last seen traveling north bound on Hwy 35 in Polk County.
•Info was given that Andre Lyons was going to be traveling home, which is north of the city of Amery, WI.
•LE scoured the area of routes possibly taken by Andre Lyons, however, have been unable to locate him, or his 2000 Honda CBR900 motorcycle, which is yellow in color.
•the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources with their fixed wing air craft will also help with searches

Search continues for local missing man

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is requesting any information that may lead to locating Andre Lyons. Please contact their Dispatch Center at 715-485-8300, if you may have happened to be in the Farmington or Amery area and had noticed a motorcycle traveling between those locations during the early morning hours of Sunday, June 28th 2020.

A Facebook page has been created called “Help finding Andre Lyons.” According to the page, a search party is being set up for Thursday July, 2 2020 to start between 3-4p.m. More information on the search, as well as photos of Lyons and his motorcycle can be found on that page.

The “find” fb page stated that LE were unable to spot AL, his bike, or his helmet from the air.
Also, there is another individual who is going to take his personal plane out to do an aerial search and individuals will be conducting ground searches as well.

Missing motorcyclist found dead in western Wisconsin

FOUND DECEASED
The Polk County (WI) Sheriff's Office says a missing motorcyclist has been found dead.
On late Friday morning, investigators found Lyons' body in a ditch off of Highway 35. Deputies said it appeared his motorcycle left the roadway, and that excessive speed may have been a factor in the crash.
