On Friday June 20th, 2003 a car was reported as a suspicious vehicle off of Federal Forest Road 162, which is 1.9 miles north of State Highway 70 in the Town of Draper, Wisconsin.

A sheriff's deputy arrived on the scene to find a gray 2001 Chevrolet Impala with New York plates with its doors open, the keys in the ignition and an empty gas tank. The car was registered to Andrew Bliss of Pulaski, New York and upon searching the vehicle and nearby cabins nothing out of place was found.

The following Monday, the sheriff's department was made aware that an endangered missing persons report had been filed in the state of New York for Andrew Bliss. The report stated that Bliss had recently quit his job and that he was depressed over a recent break-up.

In the following days multiple search and rescue teams conducted ground and aerial searches in the area, but nothing was revealed.

In 2015 the Sawyer County Emergency Management Director, Pat Sanchez asked hunters near Draper to be on the lookout for anything unusual that may be connected to the disappearance of Andrew Bliss.

“We want to bring closure for his family,” Sanchez told Sawyer County Gazette, “We believe somebody may have seen something or stumbled across something - clothing, glasses, bone fragments, something. Anything found in that area could be relevant to this case…”

At the time of his disappearance Andrew Bliss is described as a 23 year old Caucasian Male, 6’3 and 180 pounds with Brown Hair and Brown Eyes. Bliss has a pierced left ear and wears dark wire-framed glasses.

Can anyone verify if he had thousands of dollars on him when he went missing?

Interesting. If that was the case, it seems he likely vanished willfully and may still be alive. I wonder what made him want to come out to Wisconsin to do it though?

Either way, breakups are rough. Bump for him.
