Found Deceased WI - Elijah Vue, 3 year old Elijah Vue, Two Rivers, 20 Feb 2024 #2

Well, as expected, Little Man had worse punishments than standing, praying, cold showers, repeating good boy. etc. He was (physically) tortured as Dr. Petska says. How is all that teaching him how to be a man? How about starting with letting him be a little boy? After all, that's what he was.

RIP Elijah, you're loved by many that have never even met you.

Wow. In the complaint, part 4 of the interview with Jesse Vang it seems that the “problems” with Elijah included his dressing up in his sister’s dresses and walking on tippy toes. I guess that meant he played like he had on high heels?

IMO that is central to the need to make Elijah a “man.” I think Katrina didn’t like him playing in “girl” clothes. JMO

The other complaints were that he was mean to his sister and sometimes stole things from the store. Allegedly.

Walking on tip toes is also more common in autistic kids than neurotypical kids. Not a diagnosis, just something to consider. It's possible that this and other neurodivergent behaviors were being "trained" out of him. Which is awful to think about as the mom of an awesome autistic kid.

Thank you for that information! Poor Elijah, tortured for being himself. Gosh I hate these people!!

“Vang said victim child 1 cannot change his diaper himself.”

Are you freaking kidding? Did Vang think Elijah should have been able to change his own diapers? I can’t understand it. IMO neither Vang nor Baur had any idea of appropriate child development. Was Elijah expected to make their morning coffee too? GMAB.

“Ms. Baur allowed and sent the victim to the residence for boot camp and discipline, she condoned it and allowed it to happen and left him there days before he passed away when she had the opportunity to remove him from that situation,” said Manitowoc County District Attorney Jacalyn Labre.

CC lives in the City of Manitowoc. She said she recalls being devastated by the news of Vue’s disappearance.

That’s why she said has no sympathy for Baur, Vang and the charges they face.

“Hopefully they get what they deserve,” CC said. “You shouldn’t harm a child. I don’t care if he is unruly or whatever. You don’t hurt a child ever.”

That section of the complaint stood out to me too. I wondered if LE prompted him regarding that when he said he changed Elijah's diaper once a day.. as in, well surely that's not his only diaper change all day? I was shocked that he just out and admitted to so much neglect.

Elijah how sad that you endured all of this pain and suffering in your short little lifetime. I'm saddened and sickened by what was done to you, and hope that these monsters never have the opportunity to harm another innocent child again.

Fly high and free Elijah. :)

Baur's mother Jodi — Elijah's grandmother — spoke out on Facebook today, writing, in part:

"For decades her life has been a series of bad decisions, this one the most devastating. It is devastating to us as a family, it's beyond anything we thought she was capable of although I've seen the worst of her more than once."

Elijah’s mother, Katrina Baur, races two felony charges for chronic neglect of a child resulting in death and neglecting a child.

Baur’s boyfriend, Jesse Vang, faces two felony charges of repeated acts of physical abuse of a child causing death and hiding a corpse.

A child abuse pediatrician noted that “the history provided by caregivers to law enforcement and messages to each other is consistent with torture.”

Baur faces up to 60 years in prison if convicted, and Vang could get life in prison.

what is infuriating is that somehow Vang and Baur felt it was HIS fault he couldn't change his own diaper and HIS fault he wasn't potty trained yet. Sweet baby.

The two people authorities have charged in the death of 3-year-old Elijah Vue appeared in court today in Manitowoc County. Katrina Baur, Elijah’s mother, and Jesse Vang, Baur’s boyfriend, made their initial court appearance.

Attorneys Jeffery Jensen and Joel Mogren were assigned to the case today, and they immediately filed a motion asking for a new date.

"Counsel cannot be properly prepared for the currently-scheduled preliminary hearing for the following reasons: a. Both attorneys have a scheduling conflict the afternoon of October 24, 2024, which conflicts could be worked-around if necessary; but, b. There is insufficient time for counsel to meet with Vang in the Manitowoc County Jail to discuss the case and to prepare for the preliminary hearing," Jensen wrote.
