The Milwaukee Police Department is dismissing reports of a possible U.S. child killer, whose home contained a poster of missing Victoria boy Michael Dunahee.
“We have no information to substantiate any allegation that the deceased [suspect] was involved in any missing children cases or homicides of children,” police spokeswoman Anne E. Schwartz said in a statement released Wednesday morning.'

Meanwhile, Victoria police are still examining the news reports.
Insp. Clark Russell, head of investigative services, said members of the department would be interested in talking to their Milwaukee counterparts.
“By all means, we would send guys back to Milwaukee, whatever it takes to follow up on it if there’s something there. But we have yet to receive any official notice from the Americans.”
