"KENOSHA, Wis. — Police believe the body of a missing 2-month-old girl was dumped in a Kenosha field. Investigators first received a tip about the girl's death Wednesday morning.
They said she lived with her parents at a home in the 3700 block of 45th Street. The victim, Jalisa Adams-Frison, had not been seen since late July...

They did not say specifically that the girl's body had been found. Police said they searched the home and questioned Jalisa's parents. They were identified as Monica Adams, 21, and Hezile Frison, 36, both of Kenosha. It's not clear how Jalisa may have died.

Police said criminal charges against the parent will be referred to the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office for hiding a corpse and harboring or aiding felons."

Anyone find a picture of Jalisa? Or a more informative article?

To me this sounds like someone else killed Jalisa and her parents covered it up. What kind of parents would do that?

According to online court records, Adams was also charged with one count each of failure to report the death of a child, hiding the corpse of a child, obstructing a police officer and two counts of providing false information on a missing person.

Formal charges against Frison were referred to the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office, but have not yet been filed.

Adams was ordered held at the Kenosha County Jail on $100,000 cash bond.

“I hope they hear this,” said Hezile Frison Jr.’s mother as she spoke outside the courtroom where Frison’s girlfriend Monica Adams, 21, had just been charged with a series of felonies for abandoning the body of Frison and Adam’s 2-month-old daughter Jalisa Adams-Frison.

Frison’s mother, Jalisa’s grandmother, did not want to be identified to protect the identities of other family members. But she said she wanted her son and his girlfriend to know what she thought of them, and of the torment she and other family members were feeling.

Adams is charged with 5 felonies and 1 misdemeanor. (Charges are in the linked article.)

'No remorse:' Mother charged after investigators find evidence of baby's body left in field

Investigators searched the densely wooded area, but Jalisa's body wasn't found. But investigators did find remnants of a blue, drawstring-type bag which had been torn open as if an animal clawed at it.

“It's unlikely that we will be able to find this young girl's body or determine a cause of death at this point," said Zapf.

According to the criminal complaint, there may have been a co-sleeping incident. Adams stated, "Me and my boyfriend was lying down in the bed." She said the baby was fussy and sat her back down on the bed, went back to sleep, and when she woke up Jalisa was dead.

Prosecutors charged Monica R. Adams, 21, with six counts in connection with the disappearance of Jalisa Adams-Frison at the end of July after police searched a Kenosha field looking for the baby’s remains. A $100,000 cash bond was set for Adams.

Jalisa’s father, Hezile J. Frison Jr., 36, is being held at the Kenosha County Jail on a probation violation and has not yet been charged in this case.

The two were staying with Frison’s sister since mid-June because they told her they were homeless. The sister noticed July 28 that Adams and Frison left the house with Jalisa and returned without her.

Adams said Jalisa was staying with Adams' parents, but the sister suspected this was false. She reported Jalisa missing to police Aug. 14. Police interviewed Adams’ parents, who said they had not seen Jalisa in person since June.

Adams eventually said the two fell asleep with Jalisa in the same bed. When Adams woke up, she realized Jalisa was not breathing.

She and Frison waited about six to seven hours, then left the house with Jalisa in a car seat and stroller. Adams told police it was Frison’s idea to leave Jalisa’s body in a wooded area near 52nd Street and they walked for one or two hours in the woods.

Frison came out of the woods without Jalisa and her car seat, Adams told police. She also said Frison put Jalisa inside a blue drawstring bag when dropping her in the woods.

Investigators found Frison searched online for terms related to an infant’s death July 28.

In interviews with police, Frison said he returned to the location of Jalisa’s body twice. Police took both Frison and Adams to the wooded area, asking them to point out Jalisa’s location, but police have not yet found her body.

They did find a blue drawstring bag, “which appeared to have been torn/shredded open, as if clawed at by an animal,” the complaint read.

Something stinks to high heaven about the parents' story. Accident? I think not. Waiting to see if other charges are brought. Another baby disposed of like trash. MOO.

I'm not buying the co-sleeping and woke up to find her dead story.

Normal, innocent parents are generally in "denial" or not able to wrap their head around what is going on when awaking to an emergency like that and have hope that their child can be saved/revived even when things are obviously grim/beyond hope.

And as another poster pointed out, the instinct when you're not guilty of anything isn't to throw your precious baby in a blue bag and dump it in a wooded area so that animals can rip the bag open. A parents instinct is to call 911, run to a neighbor's, etc.

I agree. I had a choking emergency when one of my kids was an infant - it resolved just before EMS arrived thank goodness - and the one horrible thought that *didn't* cross my mind was somehow getting into trouble.

I dunno, maybe it's different when there's a history involving CPS but I tend to think no. Parental instinct is exactly that, instinct to save your child. GMAFB - it's your child's life you worry about, not possible consequences for you. MOO.

‘What’s the law if a baby dies?’ $100K cash bond for Kenosha man charged in death of 2-month-old

POSTED 4:11 PM, SEPTEMBER 4, 2019, BY KATIE DELONG

KENOSHA COUNTY — A Kenosha man charged in connection with the death of his 2-month-old daughter made his initial appearance in court Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Charges were filed Tuesday against Hezile Frison, 36:

  • Failure to report death of a child, repeater, as party to a crime
  • Move, hide, bury corpse of a child, repeater, as party to a crime
  • False info. on kidnapped/missing persons, repeater — two counts
  • Misdemeanor bail jumping, repeater
In court on Wednesday, cash bond was set at $100,000, and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Sept. 11.

Hezile Frison has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison for dumping the body of his deceased daughter, 2-month-old Jalisa Adams-Frison, in a field, according to Fox6.

In September, Jalisa's mother, Monica Adams, was sentenced to four years of probation and nine months in jail with Huber privileges after a judge decided against prison, the Kenosha News reports.

Over the summer Frison, 37, pleaded guilty to hiding a corpse, providing false information about a missing person and bail jumping while Adams, 22, pleaded guilty to hiding a corpse, providing false information about a missing person and obstructing police.
Parents Abandoned Baby in Field, Relative Said They 'Didn't Have an Emotional Connection' to Her

I just don't understand...if they didn't want her and/or didn't feel equipped to care for her, then why not just put her up for adoption? The baby would have lived, she would no doubt have made a dream come true for her new family, AND her parents wouldn't have thrown away their own futures. It would have been a win all around, instead of this tragedy.

Wisconsin father sentenced to two and a half years for leaving his baby daughter's body in a field | Daily Mail Online

"A Wisconsin father has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison after his baby daughter was left to die in a field outside Kenosha.

Hezile Frison, 37, was charged over the disappearance of two-month-old Jalisa Adams-Frison, Fox 6 reported.

The little girl's mother, Monica Adams, 22, was sentenced to four years probation on September 11, according to Kenosha News, with the judge taking into account the 18 months she had been held in custody when sparing her more time behind bars.

Both Frison and Adams pleaded guilty to hiding their daughter's August 2019 death, and disposing of the body in a field.

The relative stated that Frison and Adams 'didn't have an emotional connection' with the child."
