*****
The 14-year-old faces four charges related to the kidnapping of 7-year-old Jamal D. White on Friday, July 11, while White was riding his bike outside:

  • One felony count of kidnapping without consent, use of a dangerous weapon — party to a crime
  • One felony count of taking hostages released without bodily harm, use of a dangerous weapon — party to a crime
  • One felony count of possessing a firearm by adjudicated delinquent of a felony
  • One misdemeanor count of possessing a dangerous weapon by a person younger than 18
His initial court appearance was Dec. 1. A cash bond was set at $100,000.

*****
If found guilty of the kidnapping charge or the taking hostages charge, he faces up to 40 years and 6 months in prison and fines up to $100,000 for each of the two charges. If found guilty of the firearm charge, he faces up to 10 years in prison and fines up to $25,000. If found guilty of the dangerous weapon charge, he faces up to nine months in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.

*****
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for the teen on Dec. 8.

I had another case with a juvenile in WI - and they put his initials in the court site. Does this juvenile have initials anywhere in the article? I can not access as it is "Forbidden" in my region.
Also - I noticed back posts that the Judge was going to determine if this juvenile was going to be tried as adult - has that happened yet?
TIA if anyone can help.
