This guy was unfortunately busted for driving without a license three times and a warrant was out for his arrest. He disappeared. I actually think bail jumping history gives me hope people are alive. I can’t find names of family. He has multiple social media accounts but none touched since 2021.

His father, Mensah bonman, but out a call for assistance looking for him. (Not Buford, I think that’s his mom's name)

Trying to clean up my less than rules-complying posts that I was too loopy to do right. The second one up, about his court cases, here is the link to the 3rd OWI: Wisconsin Circuit Court Access

Here is the post by Javeoni's dad looking for his son I mentioned above. Sent to Tory Lowe's radio show in Milwaukee. It appears Tya (family member) sent it for Mensah Bonman, Javeoni's dad. Tory Lowe is an activist for missing Black people in Milwaukee.

A MILWAUKEE MAN SAYS HIS 25 YEAR OLD SON HAS BEEN MISSING OVER A YEAR AND NEED COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE TO HELP FIND HIM
Please Share
Dear Tory Lowe,
My name is Mensah Bonman. My son Javeoni Buford has been missing for over a year. I am in need of help from my community. My son Javeoni has been missing since November 16th 2021. I have done everything a Father is suppose to do looking for my son. I filed a missing persons report at the 5th district Milwaukee Police Department, I asked them to do welfare checks, and I got nowhere with that.
MPD just reached out to me last month to ask if I heard from my child “ITS BEEN A WHOLE YEAR!!!”Tell me when does a 24 year old Black young man from 4th and Julia who stayed with his Mom just vanishes without a trace. My son and I had a good relationship. Javeoni wasn't the type of person who would leave and not tell me or someone where he was going.
Javeoni was a hard working young man that like to dress nice, and he would help anyone he could. Javeoni wasn't a troublemaker. He didn't get into trouble nor was violence his thing. He also didn't have any enemies he stayed to himself. I am reaching out to the community for help. His friends have organized a serach team that helped put flyers up in the community, but no media coverage. I miss my son so much.
It’s been over a year since anyone have heard from him. I'm crying asking begging my people my community to help me find my son. I believe the police and his mother could be doing more to help assist with the efforts to find Javeoni. He was last seen on the 3100 block of N Julia street.

This kid bothers me to no end. I’m scared for what he might have done. Anyway, newer poster from his dad.

I've asked MKE to consider comparing: UP103053 The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) a bone that washed up by Bradford Beach to Javeoni, because he was thought to go to Lake Park, which is literally just south of there. I'd hate to think he killed himself, but I'm sure his family would like an answer.

Believe it or not the detective literally just responded to me and they are looking into this.

Is there any information on what he was upset about or why he broke his phone? Was the phone located and searched by LEO?
The phone Leo have, yes, but they can’t search it. Not a crime to vanish so they aren’t allowed to violate his privacy by searching is phone. I wondered the same thing. I know one of his friends said there were rumors about how upset he was when he went missing, but she didn’t elaborate. Given she filed the missing persons report though, she might know.

LE and I have been looking into a possible match (my suggestion, she is getting the dna done). I will let you know. I hope it’s not a match because this guy is a good guy.

Damn on the phone but since it's not typical behavior of him to go missing and a report was filed, isn't there any loop hole there to search the phone? What if he was declared deceased by the courts? Once a person is dead, what is the expectation of privacy at that point? DNA being done and added to the database would be beneficial for anyone that has a missing family member.

No, believe me, I’ve been down this road on this case and Alex Kruck & Ryan withee’s cases. I am a lawyer and this case is so painful. First off, I think the phone they have is broken. But, say they could get into it: 1. If the parents have a poa they might be able to do it. 2. If parents were on the bill, it’s their account, they could do it. 3. Rather than declare them dead, they can get a conservatorship of the estate based on the fact he’s been missing so long, and then have control over all their property. With the conservator’s (the parents likely) ok they could search the phone, his house, anything. But something up with family, they are on Facebook accusing one another of not telling police everything, and it’s expensive to do the conservatorship. If we rule out the doe as a match, I absolutely think they should go this way. I also know Ryan withee’s mom knows the procedure and I don’t know if she’s considering it or not. Cost is always a factor.

Folks, they found him deceased. This is his sister’s post. It’s not on the news so I can’t share it. I haven’t been snooping, this was telling everyone who followed the case that yesterday the family was informed.

My heart aches. This young man was a bright light.

Or quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well, I do”

I was correct, and this is who it was. :( The bone had already been tested but not compared to Javeoni prior to this.

All credit to you for submitting to MKE, now that it turned out to be a match. You’re a great great resource for Milwaukee and other areas too, kudos!

I marked this one so the mods can call it a Match, how they do when a forum member gets the solve. Amazing work!

Thank you Tea. I don't know if the news will announce it yet because the officer in charge is out of the state until 2 days from now. She has someone covering for her. I guess the person covering informed the family right away so they didn't have to wait in agony any longer.

So I don't blame the mods if they want to wait until it's in main stream media or the namus files are taken down. But it is a match, and I appreciate you noticing. But all the sympathy to the family, this young man had such a promising future and I wish he had come home.

I actually tagged the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on one of the related Facebook posts to try to bring it to their attention, so we can get that article rolling soon hopefully!

It might be hard for the family right now...

I was told the family has to do some things before the NaMus page is removed. Not going to go into details but it’s legal stuff. It may be a while.
