Found Deceased WI - Kathleen Schlosser, 59, Dunn County, 21 Aug 2017

The Dunn County Sheriff's Office says search crews are looking for 59-year-old Kathleen Schlosser around the Chippewa River, northeast of Rock Falls. That’s where they say Schlosser’s car was found Monday night. The search first began around 6 p.m. in Caryville.

According to crews at the scene, it's possible the woman went into the water, but the reason is unknown.

The department says Schlosser was taking medication and has health problems.

The department says about 40 volunteers are helping in the search, including the Blue Hills Mounted Search and Rescue Team, which is currently looking for the woman on horseback, and a local pilot has been searching from the air as well.

The missing woman is: Kathleen “Kathy” Schlosser of rural Durand. She was last seen North East of Rock Falls at about noon on Monday August 21, 2017. She was wearing a denim shirt with tan capri pants.

She is approximately 5’4”, 110 lbs, Brown Hair and Blue Eyes. If anyone in the area of Caryville, Rock Falls and the area North of Durand sees someone matching that description, please call the Sheriff’s Office at 715-232-1348.

Kathleen "Kathy" Schlosser's car was found Monday night northeast of Rock Falls near the Chippewa River. About 40 volunteers are helping in the search, which began about 6pm Monday night in Caryville. According to crews at the scene, it's possible she went into the water, but the reason is unknown. She was last seen at about noon on Monday wearing a denim shirt with tan capri pants. Kathy is 5'4, 110 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

On Wednesday afternoon, Captain Kevin Bygd from the Dunn County Sheriff's Office said deputies found the body of Kathleen Schlosser, 59, of the Durand area just before 1:30 p.m. Wednesday while on the Chippewa River in a boat. He said she was found about a mile west of the County Road H bridge. When asked if there were any suspicious circumstances surrounding Schlosser's death, Captain Bygd said that it is too early to tell.
