Found Deceased WI - Stacy Shramek, 53, kayak found on a riverbank, Black River Falls, Jackson County, 23 Nov 2023

Her Kayak was found north of her sister's house.
Does the river/waterway flow in that direction?
Because if not, the kayak may have been planted.....
Black River flows 160 miles south / southwest into the Mississippi.
Question: is her home north of her sister's home on Roosevelt?

The Sheriff's report stated she was seen traveling North on the river Northbound from her sisters house. The kayak was then found North of the house. Depending on how far north she traveled it's quite probably the kayak would have been found still north of where she left. They've not listed where Stacy's residence was. The street her sisters house was alongside the river if you look at the maps in previous links provided in the thread. The search continues for missing Black River Falls woman

Members of the sheriff’s office responded to the scene and confirmed the person was 53-year-old Stacy Shramek.

Shramek had been reported missing by her family on the evening of Nov. 23, and multiple agencies and organizations worked to find her in the days and weeks that followed.

The sheriff’s office says no further information will be released at this time.

That was a long wait for the family to endure, my thoughts are with them tonight.

is kayaking just the way they get around in that area? (why yes, yes, I am picturing the canals of Amsterdam, I have no clue, seems possible) because otherwise, WHY

The earlier link reposted here for those that missed it said she was seen by family leaving a family residence in a kayak and noted she wasn't dressed for the weather. Black River Falls Police searching for woman last seen kayaking THIS update states she was seen ON the river that afternoon in the kayak. UPDATE: The latest on search for missing Black River Falls woman
i spent years in this area with a boyfriend and no, kayaking is NOT the norm on that river in the winter months, wisconsiners? wisconsinites? don't get around like that!! not a midwest traditon!

i do not understand her kayaking in the winter, i do not understand kayaking without the proper outerwear... there is something we are not privy to here, in some way... just my thoughts
