Thurmond Triplett, 49, has been missing for more than two weeks. The Milwaukee Police Department's Sensitive Crimes Division is still investigating.

Triplett's family told FOX6 News that a Milwaukee police officer checks in with them every day to go over possible leads and update them on the investigation. But with the 49-year-old dependent on daily medication to treat a serious brain injury, loved ones just want him home safely.

Home surveillance video from the family shows the last time he was seen publicly – around 9 p.m. on Monday, May 24. Triplett got up off his couch and walked outside and down the sidewalk near the intersection of 75th and Thurston.

Chambers said Triplett was hit by a car in February 2020 just a block from where he went missing, causing a traumatic brain injury. It caused a cognitive delay, requiring Triplett to take daily medication to prevent seizures.

"With the injury, his brain, he will go in and out. So, we just want him back home safe. That's all," Chambers said.

Triplett is 5'6" tall, weighs around 210 pounds and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black Nike shorts and black sandals.

Milwaukee police searching for critical missing man, 49-year-old Thurmond Triplett

Officials say Thurmond Triplett, who suffers from a cognitive delay and requires daily medication, has not been seen since Monday evening, May 24, around 9 p.m. near 75th and Thurston.

Thurmond is described as an African-American male, standing 5'6" tall, weighing 210 lbs., with a medium build. He has black and white hair, black and white goat tee, freckled face, and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black athletic shorts with Nike logo on leg, and black sandals.

That's just a year so no doubt they were still sorting out meds, and his life must be so unpredictable.

MILWAUKEE — Authorities say We Energies employees discovered the skeletonized remains of a 49-year-old man who went missing in May.

A Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's report states police were called to a wooded area at 6097 North 77th Street last Thursday. We Energies workers had been conducting an inspection on equipment that runs in the area, when they found the remains and called 911.

Thurmond Triplett was reported as being critically missing on May 24. Triplett had a traumatic brain injury from a car crash last year. The medical examiner states he had a history of wandering off and had been reported missing before.
