Details of Disappearance
Torres was last seen when he went out looking for bottles outside his family's apartment in the 500 block of Columbia Road in the Uphams Corner neighborhood of Dorchester, Massachusetts on May 9, 1983. He has never been heard from again and an extensive search of the area turned up no trace of him. The only clue ever located was a pair of black nylon sneakers authorities found near Torres's apartment; his mother identified them as belonging to her son. His case remains unsolved.
