Deputies are looking for a man who, according to family, has a mental illness.

According to a release, Chad Dawson, 34, of St. Albans, was last seen Nov. 8 on U.S. 119 near Elkview walking without shoes or a coat.

Deputies say Dawson told a friend he was going to his house in Pittsburgh.

Family members say Dawson doesn't have a house in Pittsburgh or any known ties to the area.

Dawson is 6’1” tall, weighs 185 pounds, has blue eyes and short, light colored hair.

Family described Dawson as being schizophrenic.

A St. Albans man reported missing last month has been found safe in New York City, the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department said.
