A Silver Alert has been issued across West Virginia for a man in his 70s who was last seen on Sunday.

Metro 911 dispatchers in Kanawha County reported the Silver Alert on Monday afternoon.

David A. Hawes, 72, was last seen about 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the VA in Martinsburg.

Hawes was last seen wearing a tan hat and maroon pajamas.

His family has not heard from him.

Dispatchers say his direction of travel or his destination are unknown.

Looks like he either left a hospital or some sort of medical care facility.
