Hello. This is my first ever post, I am Shelia’s 2nd cousin. She’s my mamaw’s niece, but my mamaw had 9 older siblings, so Sheila and my mamaw were only about 4 years apart in age. Next time I visit her, I plan on asking her if she remembers anything from around that time. It’s doubtful because she’s in her 70’s now, but you never know. If anybody has any articles or info that may help I’d appreciate it. This case didn’t seem to get big coverage like some cases do (which is understandable) she seemed to disappear in thin air with little evidence. But I know the area she disappeared from, if it looks similar to what it does now (which I’m inclined to believe it does) I’m curious if the police questioned any person who could have possibly seen anything? It’s literally just one little Main Street, Point Pleasant is the biggest town in the county but even today it sits at around 4,000 people. So I would assume somebody had to have seen SOMETHING.

Hello again, I made a new account because I lost my old one. But I just came to say my dad misses his sister a lot still, he talks about how much I look like her and that he wished I got to meet her. I wish I could have too, I've never gotten to meet any of my aunts, grandmas, ect, About 2 years ago the last person from my fathers family passed from an drug overdose(his brother Wes) , he's the last one alive, his siblings and everyone else is gone. I truly wish that there was some way they could have found her because there is no way someone can just vanish off the face of the earth with no evidence. Things just don't add up.

How far was Sheila's home from the Shop-A-Minute? At 3:30 pm in June, it would've been broad daylight and warm. Could she have passed by or walked to a river-front park en route to the store?

If you're asking me, I don't know, I wasn't alive then, I don't know much from where they lived then either.
