Feiyang is a 5'6" male who weighs 140 pounds.
From NamUs: "The park says that 21-year-old Feiyang "Isaac" Xiang was backpacking with four friends. He disappeared while swimming in the Yellowstone River near Hellroaring Creek in the park's northern section. Xiang was swimming with two companions around 11:45 a.m. when he was pulled away from the shore by the current."
Xiang was a seasonal employee of the park.
He has black hair and brown eyes. He has a mole above his upper lip. He was wearing white and purple swimming trunks and black eyeglasses at the time of his disappearance.
It looks like the search was scaled back after nine days. After twelves days, there was this statement (from the Jackson Hole News & Guide article linked below):
I think its safe to say at this point its presumed he drowned, Yellowstone National Park spokeswoman Julena Campbell said. Based on witnesses describing what happened to him and the fact that we have had no sign of him or word from him since, that seems to be the most likely outcome at this point."
I haven't found a news story where he was legally declared dead.
