Found Deceased WY - Feiyang "Isaac" Xiang, 21, Yellowstone, 23 July 2015

Feiyang is a 5'6" male who weighs 140 pounds.

From NamUs: "The park says that 21-year-old Feiyang "Isaac" Xiang was backpacking with four friends. He disappeared while swimming in the Yellowstone River near Hellroaring Creek in the park's northern section. Xiang was swimming with two companions around 11:45 a.m. when he was pulled away from the shore by the current."

Xiang was a seasonal employee of the park.

He has black hair and brown eyes. He has a mole above his upper lip. He was wearing white and purple swimming trunks and black eyeglasses at the time of his disappearance.

It looks like the search was scaled back after nine days. After twelves days, there was this statement (from the Jackson Hole News & Guide article linked below):

“I think it’s safe to say at this point it’s presumed he drowned,” Yellowstone National Park spokeswoman Julena Campbell said. “Based on witnesses describing what happened to him and the fact that we have had no sign of him or word from him since, that seems to be the most likely outcome at this point."

I haven't found a news story where he was legally declared dead.

Details of Disappearance
Xiang was last seen in the northern section of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming on July 23, 2015. He was swimming with two friends in the Yellowstone River near Hellroaring Creek when, at 11:45 a.m., he was pulled away from shore by the current and got swept away into a long stretch of rapids. He disappeared and was never seen again, and is presumed drowned.

Xiang is from China and was working as a seasonal concessionaire employee at Yellowstone at the time of his presumed death. His body has never been found.

The remains of a man who drowned the Yellowstone River in 2015 have been returned to his family one year after their discovery. Feiyang “Isaac” Xiang, a 21-year-old male from China was found last year and now have been positively identified.
