Wynonna Judd's Husband Has Leg Amputated Following Motorcycle Accident

Michael Scott "Cactus" Moser, had his left leg amputated following injuries he sustained during a motorcycle accident on Saturday in South Dakota.

A statement posted to Wynonna's official website says, "Moser's left leg was severed at the scene of the accident and doctors in Rapid City, S.D., amputated the leg above the knee. He has also undergone surgery to his hand."

The accident happened as Judd, 48, and Michael Scott "Cactus" Moser went for a ride together on separate bikes before her scheduled concert in Deadwood, South Dakota, the publicist said.

The drummer had been taken by helicopter from the scene to the hospital, according to the Rapid City Journal, which also said the South Dakota Highway Patrol was citing him for driving on the wrong side of the road and not having a license to operate a motorcycle.

Moser and Judd wed in Tennessee in June.
