Cerda was a student at Broadview Middle School in burlington, North Carolina in 1999. She was last seen in her hometown on March 30, 1999. Authorities believe that Cerda departed with her cousin, Eric Loyo. Neither of them have been heard from again. Loyo's birthdate is December 14, 1973; he was 25 years old at the time he and Cerda disappeared. Loyo is described as being of Hispanic descent. Additional vital statistics and photos of Loyo are not available. Investigators believe that Cerda and Loyo may have traveled to Mexico or to the Chicago, Illinois area. They have family members in both locations. Cerda's case remains unsolved.
