Bedford started hanging out and living with friends. Her last known address was on Hanover Street in Lincoln Park. She was also known to spend time with friends in the Brightmoor Neighborhood in Detroit.

She was also spotted many times at a Marathon gas station in Inkster, officials said.

Police searched all of those places. They are conducting a search warrant at a home in Lincoln Park

According to Crime Stoppers, Jessica Bedford is a mother who would not disappear by choice. She is believed to be in immediate and imminent danger.

Parker (her mom) said she remembers Bedford’s last call on Mother’s Day.

“It was very brief,” Parker said. “‘I love you.' That was it. Nothing out of the ordinary. ‘Happy Mother’s Day.‘”

After that, Bedford posted a couple of times on Facebook. Then, nothing -- no calls or social media posts.

Looks like she’s had a bit of bad luck lately, bless her heart.
Bedford’s fell on hard times before the disappearance.

“She lost a close friend of hers a couple years ago and her ex-husband died a few years ago,” Parker said. “Between the two of those, (it) put her overboard.”

Bedford started hanging out and living with friends on Hanover Street in Lincoln Park, and also in the Brightmoor Neighborhood in Detroit.

She started hanging out with the wrong people in the wrong places,” Parker said. “It escalated from there.”

Bedford sent a photo of herself with a bruised eye to her mother. She said a boyfriend had hit her, but she never wanted to share too much information, Parker said.


She has a 13 yr old daughter who lives with the grandmother.

As the search continues, Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 reward for information leading to Bedford's whereabouts.

Jessica Bedford, 34, of Lincoln Park, has been missing since Tuesday, May 12, 2020, and was last seen either in the Brightmoor neighborhood of Detroit or in Lincoln Park.

I've done some volunteering in that area and agree, it's not the best area. Unfortunately, I think the police don't tend to take these cases as seriously if this is the situation. Hearing she may have been in an abusive relationship does give me cause for concern, as well. As we know, it end up being closer to home many times. MOO and IME with the area.

Mother asks for help to locate 34-year-old Jessica Bedford

The mother of 34-year-old Jessica Bedford said she is terrified her daughter might be in danger.

Her mom also said she had been having trouble for a while and was hanging with some “rough people”.

In fact, FOX 2 was told Jessica was given a black eye by her boyfriend, the night she went missing.

Jessica has been missing since May 12 and police told FOX 2 they’re now investigating her disappearance.

FOX 2 has spoken with both Detroit Police and Michigan State Police, but neither agency has been able to provide additional details.

Crime Stoppers has reported that Jessica was last seen in the Brightmoor neighborhood of Detroit or Lincoln Park. They’re offering up to $3,000 for information in the case and will increase that by $1,000 if a tip comes in within 48-hours and it leads to Jessica.

Her Facebook page shows a beautiful woman with a cover photo that centers her daughter. She worked for a time at the Public Defender's Office. Bumping for Jessica and her mother and her daughter....

Circumstances of Disappearance Jessica moved out of her home in Brighton and into a house, in Lincoln Park, MI. Jessica made contact with her family on Mother's Day, but has not been heard from since. This is unusual for Jessica.

LE knows Jessica was in a fight the night she went missing, with the same man who gave her that black eye. So there is some information out there. Hopefully someone who knows something will come forward for the reward.
