Wow, how incredibly sad ...........:rose:
I don't know why Jennifer Graves is estranged from her family and NOMB but I would imagine the deaths would be hard on her. I sure hope she made her peace with them and has no regrets.
The estranged sister of Josh Powell said Wednesday that she believes her brother is responsible for Susan Powell's disappearance, and she is glad the couple's children are no longer in Josh's care.
. . . "I think he's responsible for his wife's disappearance," Graves said. "More than ever, I'm convinced that (the boys) shouldn't be with Josh, and they certainly never should have been with my dad."
. . . "I've known my dad's character for a long time. That's why we chose to stay away from him," Graves said. "We chose our children not to have a personal relationship with him. We made that decision a long time ago and, let me tell you, we're really really grateful that we did."
The site includes a string of links to documents and news stories and says the police have bungled the investigation, while child protective service workers have ignored the children's peril.
"It doesn't surprise me because they're going to try and do stuff to take the eyes off them and put it on somebody else and make themselves look a little better," said Jennifer Graves, Josh and Michael Powell's sister, who reiterated she wants the boys to continue to stay with the Coxes. "They're trying to make Josh look better so he can get his kids back, obviously."
Josh Powell's brother, Michael, wrote in his blog that he has reason to believe the West Valley Police department has overlooked viable leads, "probably intentionally, including Steven Koecher, Tim Peterson, Chuck Cox, and (Powell's estranged sister) Jennifer Graves."
"Should they be looking at me?" said Graves "I'm sure that they've looked at me and everyone else that has ever known Susan."
I could see SP pulling a JP stunt once he gets out of jail (is it this May?) and blowing up his house with his last two kids in it just to make sure nobody ever finds out where Susan is, and to give a huge F-U to all law enforcement everywhere.
"Powell, 30, leapt to his death from a seven-story Minneapolis parking lot in the middle of the afternoon just after filing an objection to a court who declined to award him $1.5 million insurance money from the death of his brother and nephews."

Michael Powell was in a legal battle with Chuck and Judy Cox over the 1.5 million dollar life ins. policies and SP was listed as a beneficiary and Michael Powell defended his father...so I would not think SP had his son killed. I won't play favorites because I do not know these families..but Chuck and Judy Cox are legally fighting for the insurance money also.
It was the insurance company that brought the suit for the court to decide. Not the Coxes.
One thing I do know is that the entire Powell family swore up and down that Susan "ran off" with some other man and that she is still alive, so certainly they should not receive any life insurance from a woman who is still alive, right? And if she is still alive (according to them) she did not give her consent for Josh to change his policy, so she should be the sole beneficiary (or whatever was set up when the policies were purchased).
If she is dead, then why should her murderer's family collect on her death? If anyone should collect, it should be HER family.
Michael Powell had a lot of accomplishments in his life, and may have had a good future had it not been for the burdens he was given by his Father, and the turmoil given by his brother.
God help the rest of them.
Did Josh Powell's Brother Commit Suicide Because He Buried Susan's Body?
Bremner says police learned after Susan disappeared that "Michael had his Ford Taurus towed a hundred miles, and then sold it for salvage value because, police think, he had her body in there. Then he hired militaristic satellite photography people to go look at the wrecking yard to see if his car had been completely destroyed, but it wasn't."
She adds, "Cadaver dogs came to the tow yard and only indicated on his car, no one else's."
