TARPON SPRINGS — Neighbors knew for a week that something was wrong at the home in Meadows Mobile Home Park. But it wasn’t until police showed up on New Year’s Day that they learned there were three people dead inside.

Tarpon Springs police investigators are treating the deaths as homicides but said they’re waiting to announce names of the victims until the Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner's office confirms their identities and detectives can notify family members.

Police found the bodies around 12:15 p.m. Tuesday after performing a welfare check following a request from an out of state relative who may be the son of the victims. Young said a couple has lived in the home for about 8 months and aren’t well known to the community. Police believe the victims knew the suspect and there is no public safety threat.

A woman who lives across the street says she does know the people in the home.

"It's so sad because they had just moved into them a new home a new community and she was meeting a lot of new friends around here. She was just a very gentle, kind person," said a woman who did not want to give her name.

Now the neighbors are just wondering who killed the people inside the home on Juanita Way and why.

Neighbors said there was something suspicious about the house, but they weren't expecting this.
"Looks like somebody's digging a grave...then we found out there's people murdered in there," a neighbor said of the ditch dug in front of the home.

Police said they are working on the theory that the bodies are the unit's residents so confirmation of the identities could happen Thursday.

Residents in the mobile home park said the were shocked to hear of the murders.

Police did not release any suspect information, only saying the killings "were not a random act." and that the "individual(s) were known to the victims."

Stolen car involved in Florida triple murder found in Lakewood, man taken into custody

"Investigators were on the lookout for a vehicle in connection with the homicides that was listed as stolen, and a license plate reader in the Northeast Ohio area spotted it in Parma and Lakewood. Thursday night, Lakewood police found the vehicle and took a man into custody.

"Now, authorities in Lakewood and from Florida are trying to determine if the car and and a person taken into custody are connected to the murders."

Jamie Nicole Ivancic, 21, is missing under what police say are suspicious circumstances after her parents and brother were found dead. She is considered a missing endangered person. Police added her husband, Shelby John Nealy, is a suspect in the investigation.

LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- A man arrested Thursday by Lakewood police is a suspect in a triple homicide in a central Florida town near Tampa.

Shelby John Svenson, 25, also known as Shelby Nealy, is in custody in Lakewood, Sgt. Robert Faugno of the Tarpon Springs Police Department said in a statement.

Svenson is being held on suspicion of receiving stolen property and a domestic violence warrant from the Broadview Heights Police Department, Malley said.

Tarpon Springs detectives arrived in Cleveland around 12 a.m. Friday to continue their investigation, Wilkins said.

LAKEWOOD, Ohio (WFLA) - Three people who were found dead inside of a Tarpon Springs home earlier this week have been identified as a married couple and their son. Their daughter is missing and her husband is in custody, police said.
The victims were identified as Richard Ivancic, 71; his wife, Laura Ivancic, 59; and their son, Nicholas James Ivancic, 25, said Sgt. Robert Faugno in a press release Friday.
Investigators say their daughter, Jamie Nicole Ivancic, disappeared under suspicious circumstances and was entered into the FCIC/NCIC as a missing and endangered person.

At least they have him in custody, but to me this does not look good for Jamie. There are 1100 miles between Tarpon Springs FL and Lakewood, Ohio.
