DR's 5 year anniversary of being a POI is only a few weeks away. I hope the BCA can conclude whatever they are still testing as well.

I don't think they have anything on him, but maybe some DNA was left behind on his property before the perps/perp sped off with him...... Maybe DR even knows something about this, and he's serving as a witness now. Maybe that's why they didn't see a car; because the perp told the boys to run as fast as they could, and not look back....or he'd shoot! When they were far enough away, they took off with Jacob.

Exactly, lets find out about what this is all about soon. DR is a poi and I believe he is that because of the items that are in waiting.

Father Tom Andert was named by MSM (St. Cloud Times) on November 7, 2007. At the time, Saint John's Abbey spokesman Skudlarek issued a statement that said "concerns were expressed about the friendship of Father Tom Andert, OSB, with a student" in 1994. The student in 1994 was (at least) the third victim connected to Father Tom Andert, dating back to the mid-1970's. In December of 2014, the student committed suicide. Father Tom Andert has yet to be named publicly by Saint John's Abbey. Instead, he holds the #2 position (Prior) at the abbey. Was he questioned with regard to Jacob Wetterling?

No surprise that the priest hasn't been named publicly, and even less surprised he's not in jail. You never know if St. John's Abby might have their hand in this.

How tragic about the suicide of one of his victims. :(

"Father Tom Andert has yet to be named publicly by Saint John's Abbey."

How can this be possible at this point? Not even the abduction of Jacob or the vanishing of Josh can convince the abbey to crack down and expose their secrets? They continue to cover it up and protect because of money. They continue to empower the known offenders and put them in the vicinity of students. This is hard to believe it can exist today. They own stearns county.

Does he have any connection with Jacob ? We know Father Tom,Gillespie insinuated himself into the home of the Wetterlings , and we know he is a family friend of the R family. I believe he has a plane or at least is a pilot?

I wonder who took the aerial photos of the R farm that DR produced?

How does this one kidnap and murder, then return to undisguised and unarmed molestations?

But it seems like you may be supporting the idea of people at the Abbey. If so, how about one who has actual connections?

What murders? Could you identify please?

IMO, I think murders have resulted from cover-ups. Josh Guimone, and there was a monk/priest who apparently died as a result of an "accident". If you read what's gone on at St. John's the probability of someone being murdered related to the extensive sexual child abuse is pretty high. This is just my opinion based on what I've read. I can't remember the name of the priest. I have it written down somewhere.

I'm assuming the SCSO must have looked into a possible connection with St. John's Abby and Jacob's disappearance.

It's Father Wollmering.

In this link below, he's listed as one of the priests/monks that sexually abused boys at the school.

This link is of an article that includes the Reker Sister murders.

"This includes the murders of two teenage sisters found in a St. Cloud gravel quarry in 1974. Mary and Susanne Reker spent time at the lake cabin of Rev. Richard Eckroth in the 1970s. Ten years ago, allegations arose that children had been sexually abused at the cabin. At that time Eckroth asserted he did not murder the girls in a polygraph test, which he passed.

But the recent clergy abuse scandals have brought renewed scrutiny to Eckroth, now 75. St. John's Abbot John Klassen says Eckroth lives quietly in the retirement center, and continues to deny all charges."

Just something that popped into my mind yesterday, but I forgot to post:

I wonder why investigators didn't question Kevin (The person that made it to the abduction scene before the cops). Why did the cop just shoo him away? Wouldn't they want to know anything he saw, and wouldn't they question him? If I was a cop, I think he'd be a very important witness.

I think that cop was the one waiting for Wetterlings to get home so he could escort them down the road and past the abduction scene (without them stopping when they saw the kids' bikes). All I can figure is he was concentrating on watching for Patty & Jerry, and already knew there were bikes at the abduction scene, so he shooed Kevin away. Why that cop never reported that or followed up on Kevin, took his name and address - beats me.

You might want to use the search feature on here. All of these have been discussed at great length . Some interesting ideas were tossed around. Don't forget to add Father T Gillespie to your searches.

The "young cop", right?

Yes, he was the new cop on the St. Joseph police force. Investigators know who he was, so that's all that really matters I suppose. Would not do any good for the public to know, IMO.

So this is the mysterious "medical cop"? Was he really a different sort of cop? Or why did Kevin describe him that way?
