UK- London Nine injured in suspected acid attack, children among injured 01/31/24

@GoBuckeyes all of this is answered in this thread. The targets were the mother and two children. All others were injured when intervening or helping.

Suggested reading:

Feb 1 - suspect identity released (page 1)

Feb 1-2 - targeted attack, believed to be known to victims (page 5 and 6)

Feb 3 - attacker relationship with victim (page 10)

Hope this helps

I meant, weirdo doesn't begin to describe this man. I see that it's definitely part of the description though.

Hi, LeahBee. I'm on my 3rd day of an unrelenting headache. I apologize for asking questions that were already answered. I'm having difficulty scrolling and reading, and I see that I just need to wait until I feel better so I can read and catch up. Wishing the thread's posters and these precious victims my best.

@GoBuckeyes
I understand, been sleeping with an ice pack on my head.

The mum is still in hospital with serious "life-changing" injury. The two kids were released from hospital and it was said their injuries weren't as severe as initially thought.
All other injured parties seem to have been medically cleared also.
His body has not been found but seems investigators are now pretty sure he's entered the river thames. Whether to off himself or... attempt a swim to the other side? Who knows.

I have to assume investigators spoke to witnesses/employee at Tesco. Or do they do self checkout there? Presumably whoever interacted with him would be able to possibly tell if his injury was bruise/blood/face melting off

It's mostly self-checkout but there's also a cashier desk. It's a very brightly lit store and there's tons of security staff and CCTV, as you'd imagine, being in the middle of Kings Cross which is an area besieged by every crime and disorder issue imaginable. Each individual self check has a screen with your face being filmed up close on too - as do all the Waitrose and M&S stores in and around the station.

in the video of him there, it looks like he's walking through the self-checkout area

''Police have resumed their search of an area of the River Thames in central London for alkali attack suspect Abdul Ezedi.
Marine police teams have been searching around the Chelsea Bridge area on Sunday after the search began on Saturday, with a police boat seen circling between Vauxhall and Chelsea bridges.
The bodies of two men were found in the river on Saturday – but neither are that of Abdul Ezedi.
One body was found at 10.13am on Saturday near to HMS Belfast and another at 10.39am in Limehouse the same morning. Both deaths are being treated by the force as “unexpected pending further enquiries”.

''Police are in contact with a member of Abdul Ezedi’s family to break the news to them that they believe he drowned.
Commander Jon Savell said at a news briefing on Friday: “We have updated Ezedi’s family this afternoon with these latest developments and they are being supported by a specialist family liaison officer.''
