On June 17th, there were several 'leaks'. Within a day or 2, every one of them recanted. Most telling (imo) is the Multnomah site itself: http://www.flashalert.net/news.html?id=1276

^ Between the lines, the overall tone of these updates were significantly different after the 17th...

Taking down the 'bring Kyron home' website.... I haven't had a good feeling.

Is that the link with a virus?

That's just odd,either it's left for like a memorial or all of this is damage control about all that's going on.I'm still watching all of this play out,even though it looks to be what most think,there's still a whole lot of gray areas in this picture.

Ha! They must have read the speculation here that vague wording didn't necessarily mean today.

Well,that's good.I will say he needs to be real careful what he says in thier answers.I pray they find this sweet little boy soon and they do not stop trying to find him.

Why do I feel like KATU will open the letter and report on it later today?

My heart just breaks for Desiree. I have a 7 year old son and have been doting a little extra on him ever since I have heard about lil Kyron. It's changed some things in my life.... I spend a little more time with him, I hug him a little longer...... I am so sorry you cannot do these things with Kyron right now Desiree....

What a lovely post, if something like this makes everyone appreciate their babies more and show a little extra love, I guess the children who are missing or with the Lord have not died in vain.

I pray to God that people, including the press, respect Desiree and leave that letter alone! I think the would have to lose my mind on someone if they opened that letter.


Or could the letter be a set-up? Maybe they think someone will pick it up and read it ???

Well,If the SM is not a suspect or a POI or the focus of the investigation into little Kyron then LE really does I feel need to clear that up.The character assination of her is really getting way out of hand.Hopefully they are looking into everyone and ALL suspects and persons of interest here.

I agree, except that I think it got out of hand by about June 5th. I actually saw a comment someone posted (can't remember if it was on a news site or blog) something to the affect that even if Kyron is found alive and she is innocent, Kyron should be taken away from her. This was within hours of him disappearing. I found that disturbing and frightening.

well if terry is behind this, i doubt she would be stupid enough to.

if it wasnt her, even still, everyone would be watching whoever did it when it happened.

They will probably have to fight the WW reporter to get to it first. NO ONE should touch the letter, but I have no doubt that someone will anyway.

As far as the "off the record" stuff....as likely as not....it's just to scold media for not following previous requests. Things like: we have asked you to stay off private property, to stop blocking driveways and streets, don't ring the neighbor's doorbell asking for interviews 10 times a day, stop calling the family members and following them around town, stop mis-interpreting statements and creating innuendo. It may have just been a rules reminder session that there was no reason for the public to hear.

IIRC, the person who posted that was criticizing TH for not walking him into his classroom. I don't understand that logic either. That would mean that all parents who let their kids ride a bus to school should have their kids taken away because obviously they aren't there to escort their child into the classroom each morning.

I'm fearful that they will tell us in tomorrow's PC that the family has reason to believe that Kyron is deceased, even if they don't have his remains yet. That is something that you would want to pre-announce to the press, so they can respond more carefully to the family. It may also be that they are telling the press that an arrest is imminent.

Nah happens all the time in big cases.( not every case but some ) My husband says that it is not uncommon but if the Media leaks before they are supossed to or something they was told off record they won't get told anything elese. A lot of times the media can WORK with LE to help solve a case believe it or not.

That's true.... my detective son recently said that the media can be LE's best friend... or it's worst enemy.
