why are we talking about the drawing AGAIN. That was covered last week Nurmi -- remember. This is not groundhog day!

What is this drawing? And why would she want TA to sign it?? Very strange that JA who remembers every time she brushed her teeth, couldn't remember exactly what it was ...she seemed to be hiding something (ha!).

Next thing we know, Jodi will be claiming she was in a fugue state when she slaughtered Travis.

I agree, I really doubt she will admit to a clear memory of that day. Certainly not of what she actually did. I expect a lot of PTSD shaking-chi-chi talk around "dropping" the camera and his supposed reaction, but of Travis' actual killing--I'd be very surprised to hear a coherent and verifiable story from her.

Lunch recess. Care to join me for a root canal? :D

I'll have mine with a side of nitrous.....and pains meds (root canals and me don't get along----never had one that I didn't feel---even with extra strong doses of novicane)

That is the reality. (I hope).

But technically, if she successfully proves self defense, she would be found not guilty of murder and could walk.

I want to repeat that because I have seen a lot of confusion about that.

I would be floored if she walked! I might have to move from AZ if that happens Lol. I don't think ANYTHING she says can justify how brutally she murdered him. How could defending yourself against a naked / wet man require all that she did to him? Hmm... good luck defense team!

:jail:

Is there LWOP in az? I've read conflicting info from posters about that too.

I looked it up and found JA if found guilty of the murder 1, she could get:

1) 25 to Life
2) LWOP
3) DP

Is that correct?

Yes there is LWOP.

Two things seem indisputable to me.

1. Travis was onto her and was furious about it (what I would call a normal response to he'd been subjected). Who wouldn't be angry??

2. JA is a seriously, dangerously obsessed, childish, selfish, jealous, vandalizing, stealing, document forging, disturbing email/cell sneak/snoop, violent creep who takes no responsibility (texts misdirected. Sorry. No) who played sick games and manipulated things/people to:

- get what she wanted,
- be the center of attention,
- teach someone a 'lesson',
- make someone jealous,
- ruin others' relationships,
- get revenge and really hurt people if she felt slighted or neglected.
- make it appear as though she was always and only the one put-upon, victimized, etc.
- pretend to be a little soft-spoken waif. :puke:

ITA! 100%. She is very scary to me. I can't imagine what was going on in her mind through all of the stalking and manipulations. Creepier than "Fatal Attraction," IMO, and who didn't feel relieved when Glen Close's character was finally put to death. She's a very dangerous woman, JA.

Ditto.

She may be in a fog, but I'm in a verbal vomit induced coma. She never, ever shuts up.

Yes! I am sick of Jodi answering a yes or no question with a 5 minute narrative. The judge should put a stop to this but I assume she is also in a Jodi/Nurmi induced coma. :banghead:

I keep watching every day because I don't want to miss the questioning about the day of the murder, but I fear we will not even get to it this week as we are stuck on the 70 some-odd pages of text messaging that we have already heard about the past 2 weeks of Jodi's testimony.

I also don't want to miss Juan's Cross, not a second of it, so I'm stuck in front of the computer. *sigh*

that's right - she's continuously vomiting verbally..i am totally disgusted and can not listen to any more of this crap..

Not sure if it's an option, but I hope the jury doesn't decide to let her walk. :please:

Well, I hope the prosecutor highlights the fact that she rented a car for the purpose of killing him and it was no other purpose than that. She had just lost her car to the finance company and she decides to go on a vacation without pay. Does that makes sense???? If she had no car she had the perfect excuse why she could not see him if she feared him. She did not kill Travis in her own home. She made a special effort to go to see him a thousand miles away while making everyone believe she had other purposes for her trip. jmo

We keep mentioning this sounds like high school. Which points to my previous post. TA, perhaps due to his faith, did not get to play the "games" that all teens do.

I have noticed that, as I am not the man of faith which TA was, he used certain words with religious intonations as part of his regular vocabulary which I would not have. e.g., "Mercy me", "rejoice", "wrath".

Do any of you secular folks use words like these in regular conversation?

Both Jodi and Travis were immature. Jodi lacks emotional maturity and is socially inept. Travis was likely sexually immature which made him all the more desirable for satisfying Jodi's seemingly insatiable sexual appetite. She instructed him on how to please her, and he was a willing learner. :moo:

The "25 to life" option would be available only if she is convicted of felony murder instead of premeditated murder.

fury and wrath are words of a script..

they are not words that people just "say"

I am sure the jury gets that.

eta: nevermind about wrath! I just read what getReal said about that word

Mitigation specialist's...or Jodi's?

At the beginning of the trial I was pretty sure they had taped or smashed down her falsies so that she might look like the ugly 12 year old. I've noticed during her last few performances they seem to have grown. Today, somebody get her some pins to keep that shirt closed. I don't want to get grossed out if she has a Janet Jackson clothing malfunction:moo:
