I just googled this crime and read a few articles about it. It seems like the murder was originally thought to have something to do with drugs (marijuana), but that was later questioned, because both drugs and money were found at the scene. The news report says police thought it was targeted and more than one killer.

In these comments from 2011 about the other two men, several people question whether it was about drugs and one person wonders if it had anything to do with September 11, writing "Daniel Pearl come to mind?"

Nobody has reported that he was visiting Chechnya.

I wouldn't think he had any injuries that affected his airway/larynx, since he would probably not have been able to survive. If he had injuries that caused swelling and required a tracheotomy he will eventually be able to use a device that will enable him to talk. Thinking further, it is possible that he has nerve injury that will not allow him to talk. Wish they would give us just a little more info. Nursebeeme, what are your thoughts on this?

I just did my first "tweet" to the reporter of this article to tell him about todays re-arrest and the consulate vehicle. Hope it worked!

Yes, it was L & Taylor video, but she shoplifted in Mass, so definitely different L & T, kinda ironic, though, isn't it?
